Junior SQA Engineer - Backend Testing

We are currently seeking a Junior SQA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to grow and learn new testing tools and technologies while working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and enhance product quality. The candidate should be eager to learn, contribute to testing activities, and collaborate across teams to help ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software. 

Responsibilities: 

• Verify integrations between different services, systems, and applications to ensure seamless functionality. 
• Participate in planning and executing QA activities throughout the development lifecycle. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, prioritize tasks, and set quality standards for deliverables. 
• Ensure adherence to software testing best practices and industry standards. 
• Perform testing on backend components like databases, APIs, and server-side services to verify functionality and reliability. 
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and issues to developers for resolution. 
• Conduct basic performance testing to evaluate the scalability and load capacity of backend systems. 
• Utilize Postman and Swagger to perform detailed API testing, validate responses, and ensure correct functionality. 
• Test authentication mechanisms (Auth) for secured APIs, ensuring that security protocols are correctly implemented. 

Requirements: 

• Experience with web services and REST API testing (basic understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, etc.) 
• Familiarity with client-server applications and backend testing. 
• Proficient in creating and maintaining test documentation such as test cases, bug reports, and test reports. 
• Solid understanding of software testing processes, types, and principles. 
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle. 
• Ability to plan and execute test activities with guidance. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. 
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and analyze issues. 
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger. 
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (Auth) and how to test secured APIs. 

Experience:  

1-2 years of proven experience in the relevant field.  

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.  
• Relevant certifications in software quality assurance or testing.
