Purpose

This position is primarily responsible to support GM BF Generation in securing & ensuring fuel supply and engages in negotiations with vendors such as PLL, PSO, BYCO, Shell etc for existing & upcoming power projects and engages in Contracts monitoring & management.

Education & Relevant Experience: Professional qualification with 5 years of PQE in with 3 years preferably in energy sector in the areas of Contract Management, Fuel Supply Management, Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Reporting & Data Analysis.

Areas Of Responsibility

• Management of existing FSAs with PSO & BYCO and their amendments, extensions, and negotiations
• Management of RLNG procurement process ranging from financial feasibility to ensuring long term supply of RLNG after expiry of PLL GSA
• Business finance focal person for HSDO procurement and its contract drafting and negotiations and ensures NEPRA compliance.
• Manages HSDO contract and ensure its availability for commissioning tests and daily replenishment
• Engages in RFP Preparation, tendering, bidder meetings, bids analysis & evaluation for GSA / FSA & E.
• Reviews the contract development (EPC, FSA, HoA) in liaison with various internal & external stakeholders to identify the risk and responsibilities involved in long term contracts for new projects
• Negotiates and exchange of information with PSO, Shell, BYCO, PLL to finalize the terms and conditions of the contract
• Reviews the draft for the final contract and provide data-driven decision support analysis to obtain approvals from the management
• Engages in end-to-end process of projects related to Fuel Supply Management and coordinate, liaison, review & presentation to leadership for their approvals.
• Resolves roadblocks such as cash flow issues, compliance of SOP's and variations orders during the project development stages; issues / LD's resolution during the course of the contracts
• Facilitates and ensures that payments are made to vendors in accordance with the contract and in timely manner.
• Obtains & collects data for evaluation & provides NPV, IRR, MIRR, Payback & other decision-making support for high-value projects
• Provides sensitivity analysis
• Prepares financial models for an array of objectives such as EMO, Bid Evaluation, Financial Feasibility etc
• Critically reviews financial models received from bidders and evaluate financial implications & advantages for KE.
• Prepared annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, or health care
• Drives sense from data via various analytical approaches and presents in meaningful format for decision making.
• Liaison with internal auditors to identify the risky areas which provide opportunity to place better internal controls.
• Enhance reporting through maximum utilization of system.
• Explore the opportunity for process improvement and paperless environment
