Senior DevOps Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations through AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database migration, and cost management. This encompasses troubleshooting and resolving existing issues, designing and executing smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and leveraging AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of your workload. You'll have genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure choices—no delays waiting for approvals from stakeholders who lack technical depth.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing and executing complex infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift operations
• Creating and deploying monitoring strategies and developing automations for monitoring systems, software deployment pipelines, and operational processes
• Conducting system monitoring, managing system backups, responding to incidents, executing database migrations, configuring databases, and optimizing costs

• Advance reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
• Proficient programming abilities in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tooling
• Demonstrated experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Expert-level Docker/Kubernetes capabilities
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
