SummaryWe are seeking a highly capable Technical Project Manager to oversee complex software projects from initiation through the closing phase. This pivotal role demands exceptional planning, organizing, leading, and delivery abilities, coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively manage clients, business stakeholders, and engineering teams. A deep understanding of software architecture, integrations, and database concepts is crucial. Adaptability and the capacity for timely, sound decision-making, particularly in technical contexts, are key traits required for daily operational tasks. Prior experience with various project management methodologies and frameworks, such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban, would be a distinct advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Project Life cycle Management
- Manage projects with top-down technical oversight throughout the entire execution, ensuring success as defined by strict adherence to standards of scope, quality, timeline, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in defining comprehensive project scope and objectives, involving all relevant technical and business stakeholders, and ensuring robust technical feasibility and architectural soundness.
- Develop detailed technical project plans and comprehensive documentation, seamlessly merging customer requirements with technical specifications, which may include solution diagrams, data flow maps, wire frames, and process maps.
- Oversee the technical aspects of project execution, paying close attention to complex system integrations, database interactions, and adherence to technical standards.
Stakeholder & Technical Team Coordination
- Coordinate all technical stakeholders, engineering teams, and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects through different phases, bridging communication between technical and non-technical parties.
- Communicate proactively with all involved stakeholders to provide encouragement, identify potential technical problems, create viable solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Perform technical business analysis to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for development teams.
- Manage the relationship with clients and all stakeholders, ensuring clear technical communication and satisfaction.
Monitoring, Risk & Reporting
- Monitor project progress diligently using appropriate tools and techniques, and produce detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones, deliverables, and technical dependencies.
- Manage changes effectively to the project scope, project schedule, and quality standards, with a focus on technical implications.
- Perform robust technical risk management to proactively identify and minimize project risks related to architecture, integrations, performance, and scalability.
- Report and escalate critical technical issues to management as needed, ensuring transparency.
Leadership & Adaptability
- Continually develop and apply strong technical leadership skills. Attend relevant conferences and training as required to maintain professional proficiency in emerging technologies and project management practices.
- Delegate project tasks judiciously based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels, including guidance on technical best practices.
- Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant industry trends and news, especially concerning new technologies and integration patterns.
- Demonstrate versatility by adapting to required roles (e.g., Technical Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master) based on the specific project management methodology for maximum efficiency.
- Exhibit a strong ability to learn and effectively execute agile roles, mastering the art of context switching based on project scope, ideas, requirements, and technical changes.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Profound technical understanding of software development processes, including system architecture, APIs, data structures, and database concepts (SQL/NoSQL).
- Demonstrated understanding of various integration patterns and technologies.
- Strong technical business analysis skills to gather requirements, analyze systems, and bridge gaps between business and technical teams.
- Top-quality interpersonal skills for effective client and technical team management.
- Excellent English speaking and written communication abilities, including the capacity to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
- Proven record of successfully handling foreign clients.
- Possesses a self-improvement and continuous growth mindset.
