Job Purpose
To execute day-to-day data governance operations at National Foods Limited under the direction of the Head of IT Governance & Cybersecurity – monitoring data quality, maintaining governance and risk/audit documentation, and coordinating with business and IT teams to keep master and transactional data across business’s systems accurate, complete and compliant with defined policy.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain NFL's data governance policy, standards and operating procedures -as defined by the Head of IT Governance & Cybersecurity -across master and transactional data domains (customer, vendor, material, pricing, employee).
- Maintain the data ownership and stewardship register, following up with business data owners on their assigned accountabilities for data creation, maintenance and quality at source.
- Monitor data quality across SAP and connected systems against defined KPIs (completeness, accuracy, duplication, timeliness); log root causes and follow up corrective action with data owners.
- Process and validate master data creation/change requests (MDM) in line with approval workflows, segregation-of-duties rules and audit-trail requirements.
- Build and maintain data quality dashboards that give business and IT leadership a live view of data health across key domains.
- Maintain the data governance and IT risk register; track identified risks, mitigation plans and closure of action items to deadline.
- Monitor compliance with data privacy and information security requirements relevant to NFL's data handling, escalating exposure areas to the Head of IT Governance & Cybersecurity.
- Coordinate internal and external IT/data audit activities – evidence preparation, walkthroughs, and tracking of audit observations through to closure.
- Support the wider IT Governance and Cybersecurity function on data-related controls, policy monitoring, and periodic governance/compliance reporting.
- Coordinate with IT teams on security-related activities that touch data assets, including access controls, retention and classification.
- Maintain governance, risk and data documentation repositories as a single source of truth for the function.
- Prepare periodic data governance and compliance status reports and dashboards for IT leadership and management review.
- Act as the go-to point of contact for data quality queries and escalations from business users across functions.
- Support delivery of data governance and data quality awareness sessions for business process owners and data entry teams, reinforcing governance practices in daily ways of working.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline, with 2 – 4 years of hands-on experience in data governance operations, master data management, business intelligence, or IT audit/risk & compliance support, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly complex ERP (SAP) environment
- Prior exposure to SAP Master Data Governance (MDG/MDM), data quality tooling, or IT audit environments strongly preferred
