Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant (UK Accounting) Location: Lahore – Bismillah Housing Scheme Phase 1 (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Qualification: ACCA Affiliate / Part-Qualified Experience Required: 3–5 Years (UK-based accounting)

About The Role

Johnson Smith & Co is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Lahore office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA Affiliate or part-qualified candidate to grow within a professional, client-focused accounting firm, working on a diverse portfolio of UK clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize Year-End Accounts accurately and within deadlines
• Handle Corporation Tax (CT) computations and submissions
• Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns using IRIS and TaxCALC
• Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting tasks
• Work with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting and HMRC tax regulations
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting standards
• Assist senior team members with client portfolio management
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• 2–3 years of UK-based accounting experience
• Practical experience with Year-End Accounts and Corporation Tax
• Hands-on experience with IRIS and TaxCALC
• Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and/or Sage
• ACCA Affiliate or part-qualified (actively pursuing ACCA)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and time management skills
